No matter how old you are, no doubt that Disney movies have formed your childhood. Cinderella’s lost shoes, Belle’s dress, and Aladdin’s magic carpet are all unforgettable things that are stuck in our childhood memories. When these movies turn into live-action remakes, it can be a bit controversial whether or not they’ll be as good as the original ones. In this article, we’ll show you the best Disney movies that have been transferred into live-action remakes that may be your new favorite versions.

10 Free Must-Have Applications to Make Your Life Easier!

Pinocchio

The original Pinocchio film has always been one of the most popular Disney movies and the story has been a part of our childhood. However, this original masterpiece about a small wooden boy who fantasizes about becoming alive gets taken by Robert Zemeckis and completely destroyed. Additionally, the visual effects, which are typically the crown jewel of any Zemeckis production, are utterly unconvincing, and the numerous plot alterations seriously undermine the film's message. Be the judge and watch the movie yourself to see if it is anything like the original.

Cruella

No scary thing will frighten you if Emma Stone doesn't! Stone starred in this 2021 prequel, which examined Cruella's beginnings inside the world of high fashion. Although Glenn Close may have portrayed the dog-napping Cruella De Vil in the live-action 101 Dalmatians in 1996, Emma Stone played her in this 2021 prequel.

Mulan

In order to save her dying father, Hua Mulan, played by Liu Yifei, dresses as a man and recruits in the Chinese Imperial Army. Despite the film's attention to costuming and art direction detail, the massive action is undermined by mediocre editing that rarely allows the action the room it needs to amaze. It is an unsatisfactorily Americanized, subpar telling of a well-known story.

Lady and The Tramp

If you take away all the animated enchantment from "Lady and the Tramp," all that's left are two dogs staring at each other with goo-goo eyes. And it turns out that it’s okay in Charlie Bean's understated remake. The tale of love overcoming class differences is as straightforward and strong as ever, and Bean's new movie makes the entire story more inclusive. Everything else is adorable, but the CG animation on the dogs' faces to make them talk more like people might be distractingly poor.

The Lion King

While The Lion King movie is all about animals, with no humans at all, it can hardly fit into the group of live-action remakes. However, for the sake of remakes, we’ll include this one. We bet you cry a river every time Mufassa dies. While the remake is nothing compared to the beauty of the original, it still is a good one. The only setback in the remake is that the characters are too real; it kind of feels like National Geographic rather than a Disney movie.

Aladdin

The 2019 new take on our beloved film Aladdin, starring Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith, is considered one of the best remakes of Disney movies (even better than the original). The fact that Mena Massoud looks and sounds exactly like Aladdin is mindblowing! More importantly, Will Smith plays Genie as if he was made for that role. The songs, graphics, music, choreography, and performances were just excellent.

Alice in Wonderland

In Tim Burton's big-budget adaptation, Alice, played by Mia Wasikowska, returns to Wonderland after a long absence only to discover that it has been overtaken by darkness, an issue that can only be resolved by starting new battles. However, there is an interesting attempt to make Alice a modern and active heroine, and the ensemble cast of the movie features some real standouts. The movie comes across as an attempt to make a classic story edgy and marketable.

Dumbo

Tim Burton's live-action adaptation of a beloved Disney animated film is smarter, more touching, and a lot more rebellious than his "Alice in Wonderland." The plot revolves around a young circus elephant with enormous ears that enable him to fly, but this time the elephant's circus is bought by a theme-park investor portrayed by Michael Keaton, who then fires the majority of the employees following the merger and abuses the IP he has just acquired. Disney has a history of making cold-blooded businessmen into their villains, but in "Dumbo," the company appears to be blaming itself, giving Burton's beautifully-realized fantasy a surprising and astonishing impact.

Beauty and The Beast

Bill Condon's "Beauty and the Beast" remake has the dubious honor of being the sole live-action Disney adaptation that has no unique interpretation of its subject, while having a wonderful source and a respectable cast. The only reason it is longer is because of some additions that lengthen the story. But listen, if you loved the original Belle’s yellow ball gown, you’ll be mesmerized by the live-action Belle’s dress.

Cinderella

Disney's original "Cinderella" is a work of art in animation. The live-action version of Cinderella by Kenneth Branagh maintains the original, well-known plot while enhancing the characters by giving the evil stepmother a compelling reason for her treatment of Lily James, giving Cinderella a set of well-defined principles to guide her every action, as well as providing the prince with sufficient time with Cinderella to actually fall in love. "Cinderella" is the gem of Disney's live-action remakes because it is romantic, lovely, and a clear upgrade to the original.

Maleficent

Maleficent is returned, and this time she meets Aurora's prospective mother-in-law, Queen Ingrith, who attempts to wipe out Maleficent's fairy kind and frames the sorceress for an assassination attempt. Along with Angelina Jolie’s amazing English accent and her incredible performance, we get to see her real daughter who played young Aurora.

The Little Mermaid

Disney's animated classic about a teenage mermaid who desires to experience life on land and strikes a deal with a magnificent witch to trade her voice for some feet does an amazing job of being preserved by Rob Marshall. Halle Bailey, who plays the title character and has a beautiful singing voice, is fascinating, and Melissa McCarthy is excellent as Ursula. You can watch it in cinemas now.
