“Rise For Gaza”: The Hair Addict's Fundraising Event in Support of Gaza

The Hair Addict organized a special fundraising event titled "Rise For Gaza" This significant event took place on Saturday, January 20th, at Kamelizers District 5, surpassing the typical bounds of beauty celebrations. Instead of being merely a glamorous beauty event, it stood as a heartfelt initiative, showcasing the commitment of 25 local brands to social responsibility. This underscored their strong dedication to making a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of those facing challenges in Gaza.

The Hair Addict's Fundraising Event in Support of Gaza!

25 Local cosmetics brands have teamed up for a good cause, committing 40% of their earnings to support a noble initiative. The raised funds will specifically assist students in Egypt who have lost touch with their families in Gaza due to recent events. These generous donations will be funneled through “The Charitable Association for Supporting Palestinian Families”.

The event also highlighted Dr. Hossam Takwan, a board member of the Palestinian Welfare Society, and his speech about the difficulties Palestinian students are facing in Egypt. Many of these students have tragically lost their families in Gaza. Dr. Takwan shared details about ongoing efforts to help and meet the needs of these students. This collaborative initiative involves partnering with the Egyptian Food Bank and the Egyptian Clothing Bank to ensure necessary assistance for these individuals.

Chef May Yacoubi, who is originally Palestinian, gave an impactful speech sharing her viewpoint on supporting Gaza.  She stressed the significance of everyone coming together to provide essential assistance to those in need in Gaza. Her words highlighted the importance of united efforts in offering aid to the people of Gaza.

The event was full of wonderful surprises and enjoyable moments. Youssef Ismail took the stage and sang heartfelt Palestinian songs that deeply resonated with the Palestinian essence, touching our hearts. Sara Imam added to the evening with an exceptional and enjoyable storytelling session, exploring the beauty and origin of Palestine. Tuwa Band also treated the audience to a captivating music performance. 

This event was a great opportunity for local brands to unite, celebrate beauty and skincare, and make a positive impact that extends beyond borders.
