Catching Up with Noon By Noor

We caught up with the designers behind Noon By Noor,  Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa, to tell us all about their latest news.
 
How would you describe the collection in three words?
Rebellious, innovative and edgy.
 
We noticed a lot of metallics and sparkles in Noon By Noor's Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Talk to us more about your choice of colors.
We went with an electrifying color pallet for our Fall/Winter 2012-13 collection. Electric blue and gold were the standout colors of the collection. We used metallics, sequins, and leather not only to enhance our color spectrum but to also offer a range of luxurious textures.
 
If you were to give a name to this collection, what would it be?
Cosmic Explosion
 
Noon By Noor's LA launch last year was a great success and many celebrities were present. Can you talk to us more about your event that took place recently in New York?
New York is the center of the fashion world and a melting pot of creativity, and so we knew it was the perfect place to present our Fall/Winter 2012-13 collection. The event was held at the exclusive Provocateur Café during New York Fashion Week, and approximately 200 people were there including stylists, editors, media and celebrities. Blake Lively attended wearing a silk tuxedo dress from the Fall/Winter 12-13 collection, which she looked absolutely stunning in! Other attendees included Maria Menounos and Elle US Creative Director, Joe Zee. It was a very successful event to say the least.  It introduced Noon By Noor to the fashion industry in NYC, and it provided us with the media coverage we were hoping for.
 
Where do you plan to take your next event?
With every new event that we plan we like to raise the bar and outdo our previous event. We also like to keep our plans tightly under wraps so keep your eyes peeled for future announcements!
