Choosing Your Bridal Bouquet
Everything in a wedding reflects the personality of the bride, including her bridal bouquet. A bridal bouquet comes in a variety of sizes shapes and flower types. The first thing that a bride should consider while picking her bridal bouquet is her wedding dress, where a bouquet shouldn't hide any beautiful details that the dress has and its shape should go with the gown's silhouette. This means that you shouldn't go for a cascading type of bridal bouquet if your gown includes embellishments or details on the skirt, but you should rather go for a rounded shape that's full of flowers or an arm-sheaf type of bouquet which is usually made of long stemmed flowers and it cradles on the bride's arms. A bride's height is also a main factor when choosing the type of bridal bouquet she'll be carrying, tall brides should stick to longer-looking arrangements such as the cascading or arm-sheaf type, while shorter brides should hold more compact-looking arrangements such as the round bouquet. Something that you should consider is the meaning of different flowers, maybe you would like to express a certain sentiment by using the language of flowers. On that note, I'll tell you what some of the most popular flowers used in weddings mean... Lilies mean majesty and purity, Lily of the Valley express happiness, Orchids refer to beauty and Peonies mean compassion. Roses have several significances according to their color, white ones mean purity, pink ones mean grace and the red ones signify love. Something that brides can add to make their bridal bouquet more personal, is a brooch or a pendant that has a meaning to her, it can be pinned to the ribbon surrounding the flowers and it will be a precious wedding memento afterwards.
