Angelina Jolie's Kids Inspired Her Wedding Dress Design
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie definitely know how to get headlines. The famous Hollywood couple finally decided to tie the knot and hold the event everyone has been waiting for. Because they manage to make everything about them special, they decided to go for a wedding ceremony that is literally out of the ordinary. The 39 year old star, Angelina Jolie, had her wedding dress designed and custom-made by the renowned Italian fashion house, Atelier Versace, and dress and veil were inspired by her kids' drawings and illustrations. Yes, she literally let Luigi Massi, Master Tailor at Atelier Versace, sew cartoon designs from her children’s drawings into both the dress and the long bridal veil. As much as I absolutely admire the idea of letting her kids show off their artistic side, however, I personally think their doodle art only belongs to drawing books and art classes.
Now let’s talk more about Angelina's dress. After seeing her wedding dress, I must admit I was deeply disappointed. Aside from the fact that her the dress looked unflattering, her makeup made her look extremely pale and her hair-do was unglamorous. Her bridal jewelry was very minimal, she chose to put on simple clip-on earrings, and she honored her late mother by wearing a small gold locket that belonged to her.
The cutest thing about the wedding, was the fact that their six kids helped in writing their parents' vows. Two of them walked Angelina down the aisle, while the other four were flower girls and ring bearers. Did I mention that the wedding took place in Chateau Miraval which is the French estate owned by the bride and groom? Quite charming!
