Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2013 - Day 2

On the second day of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2013, it was time for one of the most important fashion shows on its calendar; Chanel. Only Karl Lagerfeld could transform the iconic Grand Palais into a dramatic theater in ruins, with a modern city skyline as a backdrop. For the Chanel Fall 2013 couture show,  Lagerfeld mixed tradition with future, or the old world with the new world in other words. The models were dressed in luxurious ensembles, all very Chanel in sense of cuts, fabrics and colors used with obvious metallic details.

Giorgio Armani named the Armani Privé Haute Couture Fall 2013 collection 'Nude' and he used that color in almost every look that walked down the catwalk. The Armani Privé Fall 2013 couture show was the kind of shows that included gowns which would take center stage on the red carpet, delicate, feminine and sexy dresses. Inspired by Old Hollywood glam, the Armani Privé models had short wavy hair, the garments had fur and feathery details and the dresses had a flaring silhouette. Elegant!

Ulyana Sergeenko, a name that you should know! I first knew the Russian designer as the street style star who dressed extravagantly from head to toe. She is considerably new to the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week and for the Fall 2013 season, her third couture show, Ulyana presented a collection inspired by fairy tales from her native country. The Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2013 couture show might look like a catwalk full of costumes for some people, while others would be amused at how she got those fairy tales to life with a Russian Gothic flair.

Stéphane Rolland, a designer that high appeals to the Arab fashion scene, that's why he has picked Abu Dhbai to open the world's first ever Stéphane Rolland Prêt-à-Porter boutique. Stéphane Rolland presented his Fall 2013 couture show with a lineup of structured creations, all dark colored except for a white finale look. One of Rolland's inspirations behind the Fall 2013 couture collection was the Spanish painter Diego Velazquez, which explains the performance of a flamenco dancer during the show!
