I have previously introduced to you the standard sit-up, and today it's time to introduce a new powerful sit-up technique. This is actually one of my favorite sit-up exercises as it's highly effective. Not only does it reach the core of your abdominal muscles, but also it improves the flexibility of your back muscles. It engages your abs perfectly and allows you a great stretch. Here are the butterfly sit-up steps:
Steps:
1. Lie on your mat while placing both of your legs in the frog position by putting the bottom of both your feet together.
2. Sit up keeping your back straight and still with your arms stretched in front of you to reach the tip of your toes. If you want to make the movement more difficult, you can place your hands on your chest.
3. Exhale and slowly turn back to the first position. Repeat this for at least two sets.
