Who doesn’t struggle with their hair everyday? No one! It happens to the best of us especially those who have curly/frizzy hair—including me. However, you can use some tips and tricks to rock your natural hair when you want to. From now on, there’s no need to visit the salon every week to look presentable, and if you are asking ‘is it possible?’ Yes it is. I do rock my natural curly hair every single day, and here are some tips/products that I use:

1. Invest in a good quality hair shampoo

Well, I’ve tried thousands of cheap shampoos thinking that it doesn’t matter, but actually IT DOES MATTER A LOT!! Recently, I’ve upgraded to ELVIVE by LÓREAL PARIS and it works wonders on my hair. Despite using it for only two months, I’ve noticed a difference. My hair became smoother and a lot more manageable. Even the tips of my hair that used to be so frizzy and unhealthy, they became better. The good news about using ELVIVE is that it will last you longer than you would expect. I wash my hair once/twice per week and till now I haven’t reached half of the 400 ml bottle.

2. Dry your hair gently without using a towel.

Yes, you’ve read it right, without using a towel. Try to dry your hair with an old t-shirt that you have or any other cotton material that you have other than towels. From my humble experience, I’ve tried drying my hair with towels for more than 17 years and the result was not the best. I end up with  very frizzy, messy wet hair. However, when I switched to old cotton t-shirts and tops, it made my hair less frizzy, with no messiness. Plus, it is super easy, because all you have to do is just gently squeeze your hair. Also, DON’T RUB YOUR HAIR, it literary damages your hair.

3. Use an oil that works for you.

Personally, I use coconut oil because it does work on my hair very well. However, you can try using Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aragon Oil or even Olive Oil. They all work really well since they are part of the essential oils that your hair needs. I use Hair Code Coconut Oil. After washing your hair thoroughly use a tiny amount of the oil of your choice, rub it between your hands and gently apply it to the ends of your hair. If you felt that you’ve added to much oil, all you need to do is grab some tissues and gently squeeze the ends of your hair. Also, don’t wipe the rest that is remaining on your hand; instead, use them to message your nails! Double hack.

4. The simplest thing you can do is air-dry your hair instead of using blow-dryers

Air-drying helps your hair smoothly take it shape and form those beautiful curly locks. If you want to have beach waves like I do, all you need to do, is simply put your hair into a bun and leave it to dry . Then, undo your bun and voila, you’ll have some smooth beach waves with no heat and no effort.

5. You have to love your hair the way it is because it is a part of who you are!

Ps: make sure you choose a shampoo that suits your hair. I use ELVIVE Keratin Straight shampoo and conditioner. Also, if you have a very frizzy ends, then you have to trim your hair in order to give your new hair a chance to grow better and healthier.
