At a young age, Raha Moharrak made history, when she literally stood on top of the world. A couple of years ago, Raha Moharrak became the youngest Arab and the first ever Saudi woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Raha's name is synonyms with adventure, she feeds her soul with challenges and she drives her strength from her accomplishments. Her story started the day she decided to break the norm, challenge herself, her society and her culture and since then, her journey of success didn't stop. Introduce yourself.
My name is Raha Moharrak and I'm the first, but hopefully not the last, Saudi woman to climb Mount Everest.

What inspired you to be the person you are today?
My parents' limitless understanding and absolute faith in who I am, no matter my eccentricity.
 
Define success.
Success is simply said but complicatedly done. To do what you love with passion and convection, be it raising a family or raising havoc.

My insatiable curiosity and endless love of adventure.

Tell us a common misconception that people have about what you do.
I’m often asked why would a desert-born Arab woman climb such an infamous mountain. In all honesty, I would love to have a profound reason, but the truth is I climbed because I believed I could. I never really cared about being first, youngest to make history. I would still have climbed it had I been the hundredth, oldest, anonymous. All I wanted was to prove to myself that I could attempt the impossible and maybe even achieve it.

The best things that can ever happen to you if you take them with the right attitude and grace.
