It is summer and wedding season at the same time, and I am sure most of you ladies thought that acrylics are the solution to having a perfect manicure for as long as possible. But, did your nails suffer after the acrylics? Chances are, most of you will answer, YES!
It is perfectly normal to feel like your nails are damaged after acrylics, as they've been deprived from oxygen for a while. Don’t worry though, I am sharing with you a step by step guide on how to repair your nails after acrylics.
1.Start by removing the acrylic nails properly.

2. Trim your nails.
The next thing you should do to repair your nails after acrylics, is to trim them. Keep them short and buffed to decrease your chances of any chipping.
3. Soak your nails in oil.
Almond oil and coconut oil, or Vitamin E are very beneficial for your nails. Consider soaking your nails for 5-10 minutes every day. This will help repair your nails after the acrylics.
4. Do not apply nail polish to your nails for a while.
Since you want to repair your nails after the acrylics, stay away from applying harsh chemicals to your nails. While nail polish is not harmful, the acetone does contain harsh chemicals that can damage your nails.
5. Stay away from applying acrylic nails until your nails are repaired.
While it may seem like an easier option to cover up your damaged nails, but the best way to repair your nails after acrylics is to stay away from them for a while. Give your nails enough time to heal before subjecting them to such a harsh fix.
6. Head in for weekly manicures.
You don’t need to apply nail polish for the perfect look. A manicure will actually help keep your nails in a good shape. If you want to apply something, then use a nail conditioner, this will help your nails and cuticles.
